Build Commander for StarCraft 2 App Reviews

A great app for anyone interested in upping their game.

Its a good noob/pro assist for learning those builds/build times.

The print is SO tiny its hard to read without zooming in, also there is this gray band at the bottom of the app that prevents me from reading the last article in any given section.

Its pretty neat. Worth the dollar? Yes.

Great app but would love it to be for iPad too you get 5 stars when Its full screen on iPads

Works well and gets the job done

I have moved up so much on the ladder since I started using this app.

Use to work real well, now I cant seem to get to download anything. When I try and make new builds that doesnt seem to work either, it is just a extremely fast build... like everything builds within seconds. Waste of a dollar though this app has had potential ;p Also when the downloading of any builds did work. There are so many crap spam builds that people put up there it almost isnt worth looking through them in the first place. Things like "Daniels build that only works for him dont click" ect, seems 12 year hold had a field day and uploaded a mess of crap builds.

Im on 5.1.1 and am not upgrading. Uninstalling unless there is a fix Edit Update did nothing. Wont install. Done with this app

First off, this app is amazing. One of my favorite builds (mixed build with colossus) has a portion that exceeds supply. I dont know of that is intended but I took the verbal cues and ended up with insufficient supplies warning while playing.

A little difficult to create voice-guided builds since you have to know all the exact game times that everything is built, otherwise its great app.

The app has some bugs in it, and it has very few builds, and the ones it does have are generally weak. 1gate colossus without an FE is braindead, as basically banks on not being attacked and leaves you economically weak. All the others are either very basic or borderline cheesy rushes that a monkey can do.

Everything is good, except it isnt updated for hots and the times are always off

There are few builds and the ones that are there the orders are off as are the timings. These are all like bronze level builds.

I have found this app to be extremely useful. It has allowed me to keep track of what I am doing as I scout or micro. Why I find it useful is because I can program my builds into the app and run them during game play because the app syncs with game timer well enough. Also, it allows you to pause the build orders and start them up again as youre going so delays due to harass in game arent a big deal. Amazingly well done. I will contribute builds when the issue I have uploading my builds is fixed. I must also comment that the creator had excellent response time when I reported trouble with uploading. So the complainers here need to be more objective in my opinion.

Its a decent tool if you want to look at a build order in the list view, but, as others have pointed out, the timings are way off. I still use it from time to time to try different playing styles but I never "play the build." Also, the only good builds are the ones uploaded by the community. This is a good feature. Id like to see a simple filter system though for race and build type (i.e. aggressive, defensive, mass air, etcetera). The timer would be cool if it operated off of the time of your game; if it was linked the the computer somehow.

Its exactly what it says and there is a decent sized community posting builds for it. Great for the beginner or pro thats wants to share knowledge

I really like this app! I dont use any of the community builds because its hard to sort through them, know which ones are actually good, and then get them with the timings in correctly. However, I manually enter builds from Liquipedia with the timings, and its awesome! It helps so much with learning the builds, and it especially helps me to not get supply blocked.
